Funny how people walk into a fancy, candle-lit restaurant and suddenly forget how numbers work—“₱300 for this tiny plate? Ah yes, status symbol. Worth it.”

But put the same people in a modest, middle-class spot and watch them transform into food critics:
“Why is this portion small?”
“Is this really worth the price?”

Plot twist: that “simple” dish you’re side-eyeing might actually cost just as much—same quality ingredients, same effort—just without the mood lighting and a violin playing in the corner.

Moral of the story: sometimes we’re not paying for the food… we’re paying for the illusion that we’re okay paying for it. 🍽️
