TL;DR Transparency is key. 🗝️
Having HGV as our start-up business, without any outside capital, has been one of the most challenging pursuits we've made this 2022. We thought to ourselves that we start right away. Zero excuses, if we want to be relevant early on with the product/service that we would like to offer to our customers. And if given the chance.
The journey is long though. And while we're on it, we needed to go through something else that needs our utmost attention too.
We needed some time away to take care of our other priorities, and one of those is health concerning my co-founder. There are just too many to think about how it went out this way but we're both figuring the way out. Also, being accountable and kind to ourselves for not doing our part, maybe (or the lack thereof). Like, are we really the right persons to advocate for something bigger than US? We're not an influencer-driven business which might be a different case from what is common. All we thrive to do is to stay true to our shared values and tailor it into our business by providing kinder options for this community.
If we get to a point where we can already serve more people and not have to worry much on the health aspect, we'd truly be giving out our 100% or more. Good thing, we've sought and landed the professional help that was missing all this time. Hoping for the best that it is *finally* the answer we've been looking for towards his full recovery. *fingers-crossed*
I know this is hella lengthy and thank you for taking the time to read. Transparency is key to building a good relationship not just with customers or in the business realm of things, but with anyone that you'll come across. So be genuine and kind. ✅
