To Celebrate the 58th ARAW NG SALAPAWAN! on August 24,2026

The Office of the Punong Barangay together with the Barangay Council warmly invites all Barangay Salapawan residents to participate in the BARANGAY CARAVAN. This activity aims to bring essential government programs and services closer to our community including health services, social welfare assistance, civil registration, livelihood information, and other public services.

We encourage everyone to take part in this meaningful activity and avail of the free Services that will be provided by the City Government of Davao and it's partner agencies.

Your participation is important in making this program successful and in promoting a healthier, stronger, and more progressive Barangay.

Happening Now! Due to the threat of a landslide brought about by continuous heavy rainfall, residents living in identified high risk areas of Barangay Salapawan were immediately advised to evacuate to ensure their safety.

The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (BDRRMC), in coordination with the school principal of Kiman-anao Integrated School, and other responding agencies conducted a pre-emptive evacuation of Affected families. Evacuees were transferred to designated evacuation areas, where they provided with basic assistance and temporary shelter.

The Barangay continue to monitor the affected areas, and urges all residents to remain vigilant, follow officials advisories and cooperate with authorities until it is declared safe to return to their homes.

LANDSLIDE INCIDENT AT SITIO KIMAN-ANAO, BRGY. SALAPAWAN

Nature of Incident: Landslide

Incident details:

On July 30, 2026 at approximately 1:28pm, a landslide occured in Sitio Kiman-anao, following continues heavy rain fall. Soil and rocks collapse onto affected area, partially blocking the road and posing a threat to nearby residents and properties.

Upon receiving the report, the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee BDRRMC), together with Barangay Tanod as emergency responders, immediately responded to the scene. The affected was secured, residents at risk were advised to evacuate, and the area was temporarily restricted to ensure public safety.
