Tropical Depression Kristine is moving west-southwestward over the Philippine Sea. The center is located 870 km east of Eastern Visayas (13.2ยฐN, 132.6ยฐE). Maximum sustained winds are 55 km/h with gusts up to 70 km/h. The central pressure is 1000 hPa.

Visayas: Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar, Leyte, Biliran, and Southern Leyte

Moderate to rough seas are expected in coastal waters of:
Up to 4.5 m: Isabela, Aurora, Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, Northern Samar, and eastern Cagayan, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur.
Up to 4.0 m: Batanes, remaining Cagayan, eastern Quezon, remaining eastern Bicol Region, and eastern Eastern Samar.
Up to 3.0 m: Ilocos Region, Dinagat Islands, and Davao Region.
Kristine is expected to intensify into a tropical storm in the next 12 hours and may reach typhoon category by Thursday evening or Friday morning before making landfall over northeastern Cagayan.
