Yes. Being a cafรฉ owner is not easy.
From the outside, people often see the aesthetic side of itโthe smell of freshly brewed coffee, the warm lights, good music, beautiful drinks, and conversations happening around the tables.
But thatโs only the part you see.
Behind the counter is a different story.
Running a cafรฉ means dealing with the unknown every single day. Foot traffic changes. The weather changes. Holidays and occasions affect sales. The economy affects spending. Even whatโs happening within the community can determine whether tonight will be busyโor whether youโll spend hours waiting for the door to open.
Some days are good.
Some days make you question everything.
And yet, every single day, we open the doors.
Because somewhere along the way, I realized that Midas Artisan Cafe isnโt only about selling coffee.
Itโs about creating a space.
A space for friends who havenโt seen each other in months.
A table where families can sit without rushing.
A corner where someone can open their laptop and get things done.
A place for meetings, celebrations, gatherings, and conversations that matter.
And sometimes, itโs simply a quiet place for someone who needs to be alone for a whileโto breathe, think about life, slow things down, and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Thatโs why we care about the little things: the atmosphere, the music, the lighting, the drinks, the conversations, and that feeling when you sit down and somehow feel comfortable enough to stay a little longer.
Maybe thatโs what owning a neighborhood cafรฉ really means.
You keep showing up despite the uncertainty, because you never know who might walk through that doorโand what that little space might mean to them that day.
So yes, behind this photo is another ordinary day of running the cafรฉ.
Making another drink.
And keeping the doors open.
