Yesterday, stuck in the midday heat and heavy traffic, I watched this jeepney try to merge three times. Each time, he was ignored. When I finally got close enough to see the driver, I saw more than just a man behind the wheel—I saw exhaustion and the quiet worry of someone wondering if today’s boundary would even cover the rising cost of fuel.

I decided to stop and let him in. But as he pulled in front of me, I saw his mudguard.

My heart skipped a beat. My late Papa, growing up they called him ‘Tata Aldy’ and was the president of our Sto. Niño Chapel. He was a generous entrepreneur who didn’t just build a business; he provided for others and led with a big heart. I’ve always looked up to him, hoping to be even half the person he was.

In that moment, it felt like a quiet 'well done' from above. Thank you, Papa, for the little signs that you’re always watching over us.

It was just a small and simple gesture, but the relief on the jeepney driver’s face was everything. We’re all in a rush to get somewhere, but in a world that’s getting more expensive by the day, it costs exactly zero pesos to be kind. Let’s look out for each other 🤍

Exactly a year ago today, I stood in the crowd for the Traslacion, waiting for the image of the Sto. Niño to pass by. I remember waving my hands and begging Him to hear my prayers. I was so lost, at my absolute lowest point, holding onto nothing but my unshakeable faith.

A year later, I’m holding my very first Sto. Niño of my own. 🕊️

Let this be a reminder that every tear shed and every prayer whispered in silence a year ago was heard and answered. He truly listens, and He has so much in store for us if we just keep believing.

And then I realized, the season I wanted to skip became the soil God used to grow me ♥️

This Christmas, we find ourselves pausing to reflect on a year of growth. We are grateful for so much, but especially for the reminders that we are never walking alone.

Life has a way of taking us on detours—some of them messy and others completely chaotic. But even in those moments, we’ve seen how we are constantly guided and protected. The Lord has a way of turning every “wrong turn” into a path toward something beautiful. For His constant presence and lead, we are beyond grateful. ✨

Wishing you all a season of peace and clarity. Merry Christmas! 🎄🤍
