My apologies, medyo taas gyud ni but I can no longer stay silent. I feel the need to respond to the rumors spreading about our Peaceful Rally for Transparency and Accountability for a Better Democracy.
I have been silent since the information about the INC Rally started spreading. I kept quiet even while so many people were throwing hateful comments toward us as INC members. But now, I just want to open up and finally express my true stand about this.
It’s honestly disheartening to see so much misunderstanding when the purpose of the rally is very simple: We are standing for the country and calling for transparency and accountability.
As an INC member, I really don’t understand why people assume this is about politics or taking sides. We are not siding with any politician. We are not campaigning for anyone. What we are calling out is the issue itself — the massive Flood Control Scandal where TRILLIONS of pesos may have been misused.
THIS IS A NATIONAL CONCERN.
This is not an INC-only concern.
And this rally is for all Filipinos — not just INC members.
We are Filipinos too. We pay taxes. We suffer from flooding. We experience the consequences of corruption. So why is it wrong for us to stand up and ask for justice?
Another accusation thrown at us is:
> “Eh kayo ang bumoto sa President at VP ngayon, bakit kayo nagra-rally laban sa kanila?”
First of all, this rally is not against them personally—it is against corruption and the lack of accountability in the flood-control projects.
And second, are we not allowed to question the very leaders we voted for???
In fact, because we voted for them, we have every right — and even more reason — to demand transparency.
Voting does not mean blind loyalty.
Voting does not mean silence.
Voting means we want good governance — and we have the right to remind our leaders of that.
-About DDS supporters who wanted to join the rally-
Even some DDS supporters expressed their desire to join. But INC officials respectfully did not allow it—not because of discrimination, but because their stated aim was to dethrone or overthrow the current administration.
That is not the purpose of the INC rally.
INC was very clear:
✔ Anyone is welcome if their goal is transparency and accountability.
✖️But the rally will not be used for destabilization or political agendas.
Honestly, this protected the integrity of the rally and kept the message focused on the real issue: Corruption in the flood-control projects, not political battles.
And the ₱3,000 rumor…
It’s painful and unfair. Every INC member knows we never received anything. Not a single peso.
We joined because we believe in the cause.
We joined because we want accountability.
We joined because we want a better Philippines.
It’s sad that instead of supporting a peaceful call for transparency, some people choose to spread lies and hate. If they truly care about the country, why not join the call for justice instead of attacking those who are trying to do something about it?
This rally is not about destabilizing the government.
It is not about overthrowing anyone.
It is about demanding the truth and upholding democracy.
We are not asking for anything unreasonable — just an honest investigation and accountability for those who mishandled public funds. Mao ra na. Wala na'y lain pa.
If people only looked at the real purpose instead of the rumors, they would see that this movement is meant to protect the nation, not divide it.
