With heavy hearts and grateful hearts, we share this message with you today.
After six beautiful years, KapetBahay Coffee Shop will be taking a pause.
It feels surreal to write these words. What started during the uncertainty of the pandemic began as a dream shared by two students who dared to build something of their own during one of the most challenging times in recent memory. With limited resources, countless cups of coffee, and an abundance of hope, KapetBahay was born.
Over the years, we grew alongside this little coffee shop. We celebrated milestones not only within these walls, but also in our own lives—from navigating student life to eventually earning our degrees and stepping into new chapters. What started as a simple dream became more than just a coffee shop—it became a place of comfort, connection, and community.
Through the years, we witnessed countless conversations, celebrations, reunions, study sessions, first dates, and quiet moments over a cup of coffee. We watched strangers become friends and customers become family.
Every corner of KapetBahay carries a memory. Every cup served came with a story. And none of it would have been possible without you.
To everyone who supported us from the very beginning, and to those who discovered us somewhere along the way, thank you. Thank you for choosing us, believing in us, and allowing us to be part of your everyday lives. Your presence filled our little coffee shop with warmth, laughter, and purpose.
Six years later, we find ourselves in a different season of life. The dreams that once led us to build KapetBahay have helped shape who we are today. As we continue to grow personally and professionally, we have made the difficult decision to shift our priorities and focus on the new responsibilities, opportunities, and paths ahead of us.
It was not an easy decision, but it is one we make with deep gratitude for everything KapetBahay has given us and for everyone who has been part of this journey.
This is not goodbye.
This is simply a pause—a chance to rest, reflect, and embrace the next chapter.
While our doors may be closing for now, the memories we've shared will always remain with us. We will forever be grateful for the community that grew around KapetBahay and for every person who made this journey worthwhile.
