WE MADE THE LIST! 💜🇵🇭

UBE STORY has been recognized by Discover MNL as one of the BEST UBE HALAYA in the Philippines! 🥹💜

And honestly, this one hits differently.

For 5 years, we have been building Ube Story from home.

No fancy storefront. No huge retail network. No massive factory.

Just a kitchen, a product we believed in, a lot of hard work, and thousands of people who chose to support, resell, partner with, recommend, and share our products.

From a home-based business to being recognized among so many ube brands across the country, this is something we will always be grateful for.

To Discover MNL, THANK YOU for seeing Ube Story and giving our homegrown brand a place among some of the best. 💜

But most of all, THANK YOU to YOU.

To every customer who ordered a jar.
To every reseller who started with us.
To every franchisee and partner who believed in the business.
To everyone who recommended Ube Story to family and friends.
To everyone who posted, shared, tagged us, and told someone, “Try this ube!”

YOU are a huge part of this story.

And for those who still believe that a business needs a physical store, a big capital, or a huge company behind the name before it gets noticed...

Here’s a little reminder.

Sometimes, the roadmap starts right at home. 🏠💜

Ube Story started as a home-based business.

Five years later, our little homegrown brand is being recognized on a national stage.

So to every aspiring entrepreneur building from home, keep going. Start where you are. Build what you believe in. Serve your customers well. Let your product speak.

Because you never know how far a business that started at home can go.

Thank you, Discover MNL. Thank you to every customer, reseller, franchisee, partner, family member, and supporter who helped bring Ube Story here.

This recognition belongs to all of you because every spoon tells a story... 💜

Celebrating 10 beautiful years in 2 months... 🥹❤️

As I watched this one-minute video filled with some of our partners, trainings here, products, and memories, I honestly became teary-eyed.

I just can't believe we've humbly come this far. I wanted to tell myself today, I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU! ANG GALING MO! 🥹

More than 100 original recipes I created with love and enjoyed by our loyal customers,
100+ local and global media features, awards and recognitions -- all organically earned and never paid for
and the trust of more than 1,000 amazing partners across 14 countries and the knowledge I have humbly shared with them.
🌎❤️

This is the legacy we are slowly building through our Home-Based Franchise and Licensee opportunities creating opportunities for people who simply wanted a chance to start and now we are including more people to part of our new purpose and initiatives, by helping our farmers.

We may not be as big as Jollibee (yet), but God has been so incredibly good to us. 🙏🏻

Especially despite the challenges, setbacks, and moments when we didn't know what would happen next, He always made a way.

I am forever grateful. Forever humbled.

To every customer, partner, family, supporter, and friend who has trusted us, believed in us, patronized our products, and stayed with us throughout this journey,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

I may not be able to repay everyone, but I promise to continue doing my very best to honor the trust you have given us.

And now, I can't wait to see What's Your FLAN? and UBE STORY soar even higher. 💜

I pray for the right people and the right partners who will believe in our vision, journey with us, and help us reach more people, create more opportunities, and achieve even greater milestones.

I share this vision with you.

Here's to the next chapter, greater heights, and an even bigger impact all by God's grace. 🙏🏻💜

Thank you for being part of our story.
Then, now, and in the future. ❤️

xoxo,
Chef Princess

DID YOU KNOW? 💡

Before What’s Your FLAN? became the international franchise group it is today, Chef Princess Rosario - San Diego was already standing on a global stage, representing the Philippines in one of the world’s most recognized franchising competitions.

From nearly 900 applicants around the world… to the GLOBAL TOP 3. 🌎🇵🇭

In 2019, What’s Your FLAN? was selected to represent the Philippines at the International Franchise Association (IFA) NextGen in Franchising Global Competition in Las Vegas, USA.

Think about that for a moment.

Hundreds upon hundreds of entrepreneurs from different countries submitted their businesses and franchise concepts.

Only a select group made it through to the global competition.

And Chef Princess, a Filipina entrepreneur from the Philippines, stood among them.

Not only did she make it to the global stage…

WHAT’S YOUR FLAN? FINISHED 1ST RUNNER-UP.

A Filipino-founded food business.

A homegrown concept.

A business that started from humble beginnings.

Standing among some of the most promising young entrepreneurs in the world.

And this wasn't simply a popularity contest.

The competition brought together some of the biggest names in business and franchising.

Among the distinguished figures connected to the 2019 competition were:

Carly Fiorina - former CEO of Hewlett-Packard and former U.S. presidential candidate

Suzanne DeLuca Greco - former CEO of Subway and a major figure in the Subway/DeLuca franchise legacy

Shelly Sun - Founder and CEO of BrightStar Care and former Chair of the International Franchise Association

These are the people who were looking at the next generation of franchise businesses.

And What’s Your FLAN? was there.

🇵🇭🍮

But here's the part that matters most…

WHY DID A SMALL FILIPINO FOOD BUSINESS GET THIS FAR?

Because What’s Your FLAN? was never created simply to sell flan.

From the beginning, Chef Princess envisioned something bigger:

A business model that could give ordinary people a realistic opportunity to become entrepreneurs.

A model that doesn't necessarily require an expensive commercial location.

A model designed around accessibility, scalability, systems, products, training and support.

A model that could allow someone to start from home and gradually build something bigger.

And most importantly…

A business model built around people.

People who want a second source of income.

People who want to leave employment someday.

People who want to build something for their families.

People who have always dreamed of having their own business but thought entrepreneurship was only for people with millions of pesos.

That is what makes this recognition so meaningful.

The global competition wasn't just recognizing a dessert.

It was recognizing the business model behind the dessert.

And that is something we want our partners to understand.

When you become part of What’s Your FLAN?, you are not simply buying a product to resell.

You are becoming part of a business system that has already been tested, challenged, refined and presented on an international stage.

You're stepping into a company whose business model was strong enough to stand alongside entrepreneurs from around the world.

You're stepping into a brand that has spent years learning what works, what doesn't, how to build markets, how to create products, how to support partners, how to develop systems and most importantly, how to keep moving forward.

Because awards are nice.

Recognition is nice.

But the real value is what we built after the recognition.

The journey didn't end when Chef Princess received that 1st Runner-Up recognition.

It became another beginning.

Today, What’s Your FLAN? continues to grow beyond its original concept, building partnerships, developing new products, expanding markets and creating opportunities for people who want to build something of their own.

🌎🇵🇭

And perhaps the most beautiful part of the story is this:

A Filipina entrepreneur didn't just make it to the global stage.

She showed that a business born in the Philippines could compete with the world.

And she did it with a simple belief:

You don't need to start big to build something big.

Sometimes, all you need is a good idea…

A strong business model…

The courage to start…

And the determination to keep going when everyone else thinks you can't.

WHAT’S YOUR FLAN?

From a humble Filipino kitchen…

To the Global Top 3.

And we're still just getting started.

DID YOU KNOW?

Now you do.

DID YOU KNOW? 🏆

In 2024, our Co-owner, Mr. Chino San Diego was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year at the Asia CEO Awards.

But this recognition was never just about an award.

It was about a business idea that started with a simple question:

“How can we help more Filipinos become entrepreneurs without needing millions of pesos to start?”

Through What’s Your Flan? International, we developed a business platform designed to make entrepreneurship more accessible, allowing Filipinos to start a business with significantly lower capital, operate from home, and build a sustainable source of income without the traditional costs of opening a physical store.

What started as a small business eventually became a platform that helped hundreds of Filipinos, both in the Philippines and abroad, become business owners themselves.

And that is what makes the recognition meaningful.

Because for us, entrepreneurship isn't just about building one successful company.

It's about creating a system that gives other people the opportunity to build theirs, too.

Today, that same vision continues through What’s Your Flan? and Ube Story, creating accessible business opportunities while bringing proudly Filipino products to more customers and communities.

Entrepreneur of the Year – Asia CEO Awards 2024 🏆

A recognition we are grateful for, but more importantly, a reminder of why we started in the first place.

Build a business. Build opportunities. Build lives. 💜
