Sweet Chix had their CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility ~ planting horseradish (malunggay) & ceylon spinach (alugbati). These will be given to selected families as one way in helping them.
TRIVIA:
Malunggay leaves are popularly used in Filipino soups and broths especially tinola. The leaves are said to increase lactation in nursing mothers. Filipinos like to say that malunggay is “the most nutritious plant in the world.” It is rich in vitamins A and C and iron. A study recently found that malunggay increases s***m count in men.
Alugbati is a good source of essential nutrients. Excellent source of calcium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B and iron.Contain saponins that act as phytochemicals. Fights cancer and other diseases. Pulped leaves are applied to boils, ulcers and abscesses.Stem and leaf extract can cure habitual headache.
