SCAM‼️‼️‼️
This is for Public Awareness. We posted a ₱20 Donation Drive today and thanks to everyone who extended their help. But, this Lloyd Zubire reached out, claiming the office of Sen. B**g Go through Malasakit would like to donate ₱45,000. We knew from the very beginning that it was a scam but let him talk about it anyway. Para malaman din namin kung paano sila manloko ng mga tao.
His style went like this:
SCAMMER: "Sa office po ito ng Malasakit, kung familiar po kayo, yung kay Senator B**g Go. Magpapadala po sana kami ng ₱45,000 as donation para sa mga binaha. Sa ngayon po siguro kahit paano may mga nagpaabot na din naman na ng financial na tulong sa inyo ano? At ung gcash kayo lang naman ang gumagamit? (Yes and yes) Magpapadala po kami ng tulong, tatlong beses na ₱15,000 dahil first time makakatanggap ng gcash nyo galing sa Malasakit. Nasa magkano na po ba ang natanggap na donation? (Around ₱11,000) Sana po makarating ito sa mga tunay na nangangailangan at magtitiwala po kami sa inyo, at sana po hindi rin nyo ito magamit sa sugal (wow ha!) May isesend lang muna akong link tapos i-click nyo lang para ma-credit ung ₱15,000 tatlong beses po. (Okay 🙄)
So sa ngayon po magkano na ang laman ng Gcash nyo?" (₱7.26)
--- at this point, he sounded disappointed
"Akala ko po nasa ₱11,000 na?" (Yes, pero nag cashout na din kami)
"Kailangan po may at least ₱10,000 kayo para maisend namin sa inyo ung ₱45,000..." and the rest of his bull s**t.
Ganyan po ang style nila.
It pains us deeply to realize that, even in the midst of a calamity—when people are struggling, families are hurting, and communities are coming together to help—there are still individuals who would take advantage of the situation to scam others and rob donations from people who worked hard to earn every peso they give.
We also urge everyone to be vigilant. Please verify where your donations are going and make sure they reach the people who truly need them. Let us not allow dishonest individuals to destroy the trust and goodwill that so many have worked hard to build.
