PURIFYING DIRTY WATER, RAINWATER OR CHLORINATED WATER
Purifying water collected from sources other than the water utility companies such as MWSS, Maynilad or Manila Water, can be simple enough for homeowners to to do it by themselves.
Do you drink water from your faucet? Don't you know that Chlorine is harmful to your health? It may aggravate hypertension and heart problems because Chlorine causes hardening of the arteries. It can damage your organs or body system too since it is toxic.
Sadly, there's no other way to treat water from dams. MWSS utilizes Chlorine to kill microorganisms such as bacteria, and viruses present in the water.
Therefore, even water from your faucet or tap water is harmful to your health.
Best thing to do is to treat the water first and then use the Ultrapure Plus purifier to remove the chemicals, solid contaminants and dead microorganisms present in the water. It turns acidic water into Alkaline too.
What are Aquatabs or Puritabs?
-These are Effervescent (self-dissolving) tablets which, when added to unsafe drinking water, make the water safe to drink.
How are these tabs used?
-The tablet is added to the appropriate volume of water (20-25 liters). Wait at least 30 minutes before using the water. The tablets need not to be crushed.
Dosage
-For clear water, for example from municipality supplies and groundwater.
One tabs, 67mg, in approximately 20 liters of water.
-For dirty-looking water (turbid waters), the water should be filtered through a cloth before adding the tablets.
Two (2) tabs tablets in approximately 20 liters of water.
Cost
The price of 1 tablet may vary from 5 to 8 pesos. You can get these from most drug stores in your locality.

2. Pail or container that can hold 20 liters of water
3. Clean cloth
4. Purification tablets (Aquatabs or Puritabs)
5. Water dispenser containers
STEPS
For rainwater or clear water collected from streams, ponds, lakes or springs

1. Get a pail and place a clean cloth serving as a filter to remove solid particles when water is poured into it.
2. Pour water
3. Put 1 purification tablet into the water and let it stay for at least 30 minutes.
4. Pour water into Ultrapure plus
5. Pour water into water dispenser containers
For cloudy water collected from floods and similar sources

1. Get a pail and place a clean cloth serving as a filter to remove solid particles when water is poured into it.
2. Pour water into the pail
3. Put 2 purification tablet into the water and let it stay for at least 30 minutes.
4. Pour water into Ultrapure plus
5. Pour water into water dispenser containers
Water for your babies

Bring the water to boil for about one minute. Don't boil the water more than once or for too long, since that can increase the concentration of impurities.
1. Get a pail and place a clean cloth serving as a filter to remove solid particles when water is poured into it.
2. Pour water into the pail
3. Put 1 or 2 purification tablet into the water and let it stay for at least 30 minutes.
4. Pour water into Ultrapure plus
5. Boil water for 1 minute
6. Pour water into water bottles
