The National Council of Churches in the Philippines in partnership with the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines enjoins the whole Christian community to actively participate in our annual week-long observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This will commence on January 16 and will culminate on the 21st.

This year's theme is “Do Good, Seek Justice.” The theme is inspired by Isaiah 1:17, which laments the lack of justice among the People of God. Yet, it also promises redemption by encouraging acts of justice. Like Isaiah, we hope to inspire a renewed desire and effort to work for justice among the Christian communities in the Philippines and around the world.

For our liturgical materials, we are guided by the churches of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA as we seek to explore how the work of Christian Unity can contribute to the promotion of social justice across our societies.

This year's Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in the Philippines will be led by the ecumenical formations in Metro Manila, Mindoro, Bukidnon, Bohol, and Pampanga.
