𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | MCAT 2025 By the Numbers
A total of 10,617 takers took part in the Mariano Marcos State University College Admission Test (MCAT) for 2025, with 7,320 passers vying for admission across colleges.
Most of the 14, 356 applicants who got test permits came from Ilocos Norte (10,505), followed by Ilocos Sur (1,910), Cagayan (1,017), La Union (61), Pangasinan (63), and other provinces (800).
Six in ten takers are female, while four in ten are male. More than 3,800 are first-generation college students—the first in their families to pursue higher education. The data also shows that 307 takers belong to Indigenous Peoples or Indigenous Cultural Communities, with a large majority coming from low-income backgrounds.
For the First Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026, MMSU aims to accommodate students across its colleges as follows: 690 in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development; 485 in the College of Arts and Sciences; 110 in the College of Aquatic Sciences and Applied Technology; 750 in the College of Business, Economics, and Accountancy; 255 in the College of Computer and Information Sciences; 450 in the College of Health Sciences; 600 in the College of Industrial Technology; 900 in the College of Engineering; 860 in the College of Teacher Education; 35 in the College of Veterinary Medicine; and 35 in the College of Dentistry.
MCAT is a two-and-a-half-hour scholastic aptitude exam that assesses students across four core areas: English Proficiency (50 items), Science Proficiency (40 items), Mathematical Proficiency (40 items), and Analytical Ability (20 items).
