Dawn Tabada-Empleo was on her fourth year of college at University of Santo Tomas, when she worked as a service and kitchen crew in a fast food chain. After graduation, she worked her way through the corporate world for ten years then moved to her hometown, Bambang and decided to start Grill Hub. She has a passion for cooking and gardening. When she was younger, her family and friends would enjoy
grilling and setting up picnic tables outside their house. Dawn’s father who used to be an Acting Mayor of the Municipality of Dupax Del Norte would have visitors flocked in their house and the young Dawn would then prepare and serve food to her father’s delight. That very house is where the Grill Hub building is now. Grill Hub started on December 30, 2004 with only four tables. Initially, home-cooked food, “turo-turo” style were served. Customers opted dining al fresco, soon after, there was live acoustic. After nine years in the business, Dawn built a two-storey Grill Hub. With a more spacious indoor and outdoor dining area coupled with a wide range of Filipino favorites, Grill Hub has become a regular meeting place. Guests enjoy sharing stories over a variety of food. And that makes dining at Grill Hub more exciting because of the representation of Filipino culture which involves sharing food in a festive way. Amidst the challenging times, Grill Hub is here to stay. Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
