The meats come from as far away as Zambales, Palawan, and Manila. The more adventurous palates of the crew enjoyed the interesting meats, but the group consensus declared the crowd favorite (of four members) was the pinakbet with bagnet, with its fresh local vegetables and crunchy pork slices, the lethal combination of slightly salted crackling skin and melt-in-the-mouth fat. For dessert, we were served Banana Jubilee, a warm compote of bananas and chocolate sauce presented in a bowl made from fried lumpia wrapper.
