Spent the holidays getting back to the soul of eastery.

2022 was distracting for a lot of reasons. When we started we wanted breads that were healthier than your average convenience bread.

We wondered whether this bread would make it into your homes. Pandemic was easier because people were at home and we’d deliver door-to-door. When restrictions eased we made some treats to get by, then sugar went up.

Then flour.
Then gas.

Pop-ups became less because we didn’t want too much waste or too much calories in our small home bakery.

So we went back to our roots and took online orders which we’ll be continuing to do so for a while til we get our bearings back.

We still strive for healthier breads and a bakery that produces less waste. We still do not add preservatives to our breads and we challenge ourselves to make them less sweet but still enjoyable.

We look forward to 2023. Happy New Year to everyone!

Have you ever sucked at something?

I have. These guys were so weirdly shapen when I started, or too gooey, or there was a lot of waste involved because they were so sticky.

Making them today was different. It was relaxing and nice to put these little fingers in order!

This is your reminder to keep trying even when you fail because one day it will just be and you don't need to force things.

Today is tinybaker’s birthday!!! Happy birthday to the fluffiest, cool baby girl. That said we’re taking a break next week from baking!
