When you’re considered too small and deemed to be irrelevant in their business point of view.
Okay, so it has been a rollercoaster of emotions this last few days. I wanted to write something just to vent out but I dunno how, so here it goes.
So a new asian resto is opening their doors today at The Shophouse, across my diner. I dont know how this happened, but they allowed a new tenant to directly sell exact same dishes of an existing tenant. While I openly support and believe in fair competion, my small diner is on the losing end in this.
First, we have a standing policy between management and tenants NOT to sell anything similar. And I honored that for the last one and a half year. Yet here we are. Second, we are all the way at the back and they're at the very front. Third, theirs is aeshetically pleasing while our dining area is al freso. And lastly, the one thing that really pi**ed me off, they were allowed and offered not 1, not 2 and definitely not just 3 exact same dishes but my whole damn menu was copied.
Dont get me wrong. I BELIEVE in my product and my brand. But this whole disrespect thing just doesn't sit well with me.
You know, this really sucks.
Oh well. In the meantine, I'll just continue to be faithful to a 5 year tradition, all the way from HCB to RMK, of serving you authentic, affordable Indonesian cuisine and hope you also continue to support me on my journey of putting the Indonesian cuisine in the culimary map of Bacolod.
