Meanwhile, in Bukidnon, authorities intercepted smuggled ci******es worth more than ₱2.4 million during a checkpoint operation, leading to the arrest of two individuals. A separate anti-smuggling operation in Zamboanga City also resulted in the confiscation of additional smuggled ci******es valued at approximately ₱2.9 million.

In the BARMM area, law enforcement units seized a large volume of smuggled ci******es estimated at over ₱1.2 million during a late-night operation, further disrupting illicit supply chains in the region. PNP Chief, Police General Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for their sustained operational momentum, stressing that these results reflect a more focused and disciplined police force.

“Patuloy po ang ating operasyon laban sa mga iligal na gawain. We are serious in making sure that laws are enforced consistently and fairly. Sa ating mga kababayan, makakaasa po kayo na tuloy-tuloy ang ating trabaho para mapanatili ang kaayusan at protektahan ang ating ekonomiya at kalikasan,” the Chief PNP said. “These accomplishments show that when we work together with our partners, mas lumalakas ang ating kakayahan na pigilan ang mga smuggling activities.”

He also emphasized that these operational gains are aligned with the broader governance direction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who has consistently underscored the importance of strong border protection, consumer safety, and environmental preservation under a whole-of-government approach.
