Back in 2024, we brought home the Best of the Best Signature Beverage title with Pinasugbrew, a drink inspired by La Castellana coffee and the town’s well-known banana produce. It was our way of telling the story of where the coffee came from and celebrating the abundance of Negros through a cup.
When the 2025 Negros Occidental Coffee Fiesta came around, we challenged ourselves once again: How do we tell another Negros story?
That’s when Tanggero was born.
Using coffee from Murcia, we looked to the neighboring communities and the products that have long been part of Negros’ identity. We incorporated local tablea, honoring the rich chocolate of Don Salvador Benedicto, and drew inspiration from the island’s sugar heritage through Don Papa Rum, a proudly Negrense brand recognized around the world.
We never expected that a year after Pinasugbrew, another drink rooted in local stories and local produce would earn the same recognition.
Winning once was an honor. Winning again reminded us why we do what we do.
For two consecutive years, our signature beverages have been built around one thing: showcasing Negros through its coffee, its produce, and the people behind them.
This will always be a win for Negros. 🌾
