Story time! Owner here. How to level up from casual coffee drinking and truly appreciate the farmer’s and roaster’s hard work.
Never akong umiinom ng black coffee noon, lalo iced. Puro pait ang nalalasahan ko (lalo dun sa isang sikat na chain). But I got to try a really good iced black cold brew in Siargao, beans are local, and single origin. Nanghingi agad ako ng sugar bago inumin pero inencourage ako ng owner na itry muna Black.
And my life changed. 😂 meron palang black coffee na hindi puro pait! I tasted nuts, oranges, etc, whatever they said as Taste Notes/Profile. Knowing it’s just coffee and ice, and no flavorings, my mind was blown. Properly brewed black coffee can have natural sweetness. And so I entered the rabbithole to Specialty Coffee. ☕️
