The way animals are treated in bio-industry and the way food is handled and often cooked without concern for its nutritional value leaves much to be desired. So after thirty years of combined experience in the hospitality industry – both Steve and David have traveled the world working as chefs with many different cuisines and cultures – Karmaway feels a responsibility to use this acquired knowledge to encourage a new approach within the commercial sector: by working closely together with nutritionists, local producers and fair trade to offer innovative and socially conscious cuisine. Karmaway is a collective for like-minded people, serving as a platform for companies who are environmentally and socially conscious. Through collaboration with businesses from the art, fashion or food industry Karmaway will lead the way in being both socially conscious as well as financially successful. Making a profit does not have to get in the way of caring for the environment and the people involved. Karmaway believes in giving before receiving; therefore a substantial portion of every euro spent on a Karmaway product contributes to a better world.
