OK Limetree family...... I have been babysitting these for the last 5 hours long and slow turning basting with this glorious (red wine + a million herbs and stock and just a touch of tomatoes) gravey to make sure they dont dry out and the gravey does not evaporate and that has not happened, of cource they do shrink a little when cooked but my goodness these pure south hind shanks are a delectable meal and I think because ive dedicated the hours to keep turning basting they might be the best yet and of cource I will have creamy potato and kumara mash to sit under this beautiful lamb and honey carrots and baby peas 🥰 i will do my last touches on this and have everything fresh mashed, out of the oven from 11am tommorow..... so this now will be on the menu for lunch as well as fresh takeaway for your Sunday dinner, limited so book on here on call tommorow morning or pop in!!!! Xx

It's that time of year again and our soups are flying out the door on a daily basis...we still have some of each of our 4 different soups available and then when gone will be replenished after the weekend.... but I have also got some of these absolutely gorgeous hind shanks 🥰 i am taking the day off tommorow for a mum and son fishing charter to end the school holiday's but I will have these big bad boys available on Sunday between 2.30pm - 3.30pm, done freshly cooked in a rich red wine gravey, potato and kumara mash, baby peas and caramelized baby carrots 😍 get in quick, limited number available.

Italian is personal and my go to 🥰 spaghetti bolanaise, chicken fettuccine, beef lasagne all on the menu tommorow, also fresh...not Italian lol blueberry lemon scrolls fresh from the oven from 10.30am tommorow, they are to DIE FOR 😋... I will work on a GF version of these later this week.... also a "Raffaelli" croque monsur.... beef eye fillet steak slices, caramelized onion, cheese, becamelal sauce on toasted sourdough bread with more cheese and more becamelal sauce and more cheese....WHAT.. 🥰🤣 ###

Me again 🤣😘...... going forward we are looking at opening public holiday MONDAYS, as you know this is our 1 day off.... but its also a day to do deliveries, baking, cleaning etc but the demands from last weekend (kings birthday) the number of calls the amount of cars down the drive (reported by landlord and customers who were coming down) said it was insane the amount of buisness we could have had.... well going forward we will look at opening on public holiday Mondays.... keep an eye out x

Hello 👋 sitting here on a Sunday evening reflecting after a great busy "welcome to winter" weekend...... and today we could have easily sold 200+ scones.... 🙉 they were so asked for today even more than most days. I, myself personally would love to reach out to our customers and all my co-workers that I am so greatful..... greatful for our amazing staff who we love including our amazing part timers who work so well over the weekends, our students who most of whom have worked for us for 3 years+ they start as 14/15 year olds and still with us at 17/18+ every single one of our staff is so treasured and so valuable, some customers even think their is multiple owners of the business as our girls treat our customers so well they think they must own the buiness, no issues there lol 🥰 but seriously on a business side of things we are in awe of our staff, our customers and so appreciative that in a world of uncertainty we get to make our way into our 13th year of business in little old whitford village, thank you, thank you and thank you 😘xx we will always maintain home cooked food/baking no matter the economy... no short cuts, no comprimise of ingredients no improvising on quality, we talk about this multiple times a day with customers and karen and myself have said their will never be a comprimise on our cooking, we do our job for the love of what we do 😘

You can come out via Ormiston Rd though to still enjoy a nice hot meal, soup or cabinet food.

It's arrived and we will get in looking as attractive as we can when we play with tables etc tommorow, awesome company to deal with karen and I decided to do this at 11am made a phone call and they were out by 2pm and we have this beauty untill next week 😀

Good morning everyone 🥰 we have had so many bookings come through for sunday mothers day and we are trying to fit everyone who wants to celebrate with us at our little gem of a cafe, so greatful. We have had to turn people away....... BUT we have decided let's make it something very special, we are super pumped, we have the best of the best staff on all weekend so we are getting a BIG marquee with sides delivered later today for the whole weekend to make use of our outdoor area if weather is a little unpredictable, so if we turned you away even an hour ago, get in touch cause we got this 👍 my goodness bring on mothers day weekend whatever the weather..... we can recover silently on monday 💪 🙏 x
