☕️❤️ Let’s get behind our Northland winner Pinja! ❤️☕️
We’re incredibly proud to see Pinja, winner of our Te Tai Tokerau Barista Open, now in the running for the New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association People’s Choice Award!

Pinja works at our wonderful partner café, All You Knead, and we’ve loved watching her journey continue since taking out the Barista Open.

She’s been coming along to coffee master classes with our Master Roaster, Craig, building her knowledge and skills, and she’s now also being mentored by Stu Hargie from Turning Point Coffee NZ.

That commitment to learning, improving and pushing herself is exactly what makes Pinja such a fantastic representative for our local coffee community. ☕️

What a night! ☕

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Sabio Coffee x Cofinet New Season Coffee Cupping.

Together we tasted 12 incredible new-season coffees—9 from Kenya and 3 from Colombia—sharing plenty of slurps, lively discussion, and discovering just how diverse and exciting coffee can be.

One of the best parts of the evening wasn't just the coffee, but bringing together baristas, café owners, home brewers and coffee lovers from across Northland to learn, connect and share ideas.

Thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, compared tasting notes and helped make it such a memorable evening.

Here's to more great coffee, stronger connections, and many more cuppings to come.

Never been to a coffee cupping? Think of it as a w**e tasting... but for coffee. We'll guide you through tasting and comparing each coffee's unique flavours, aromas and characteristics.

And don't worry—you don't have to drink 12 coffees! In fact, you're encouraged to spit each sample out after tasting, so you can enjoy the experience without ending up over-caffeinated.

Whether you're a barista, café owner, home brewer, or simply curious about specialty coffee, this is a fun and relaxed way to discover just how diverse coffee can be.

What an awesome couple of nights of learning, coffee, and connection ☕🔥

Huge thanks to everyone who joined our Northland Barista Open workshops with Wayne Burrows — the energy, enthusiasm, and passion for coffee was incredible.

From competition prep to technical tips and hands-on learning, these workshops were all about building confidence and supporting our local coffee community.
