Hi Proper Pizza Friends. We have closed our store temporarily at Coast Plaza whilst we look for a franchise partner who can manage the business locally. If you know somebody looking for a great opportunity to own and grow our beautiful restaurant please let us know.

You won’t beat this deal as we are willing to invest to find the right person and need someone who is willing to work in the business.

We have turned over more than 25K per week pre lock down.

So $65,000.00 up front (a fraction of what we paid) and $1000.00 per week for two years is all this will cost you.

If you introduce us to a party that purchases we will provide you with a $1000 dollar credit at the restaurant.

There are no royalties or marketing fees payable until 2023 and we will be working with our landlord to encourage a suitable incentive for the new new tenant.

Looking for a perfect business partner/owner at The Proper Pizza Company. - Temporary Closure From Monday.

A year ago we opened The Proper Pizza Company Whangaparaoa at Coast Plaza. Initial sales were more than double our expectations creating all sorts of issues with untrained staff and lack of drivers… you can only imagine.

Having said that we had things running smoothly quickly only to find that within only a few weeks we were being locked down and out of our premises until just before Christmas. It’s been a tumultuous first twelve months of overtrading followed by no trading and finally restricted tradings and learnings in a mall which is only now starting to come alive again.

As we’ve tried to build back from Covid we have realised that whilst our customers love our Pizza, the business really needs a local owner partner to build the company from here. Thus with real sadness we have decided to close Proper Pizza Coast Plaza temporarily.

The closure is hopefully only temporary whilst we embark on the search for our perfect new partner and match. We love proper and we believe it presents the opportunity of a lifetime for somebody to own a respected franchise system for a small percentage of what it might have cost to build at another time.

When we find you we will provide full training, waive your franchise fee in full and royalties until 2023. We will subsidise the purchase and provide you with vendor financing as well. No need to rely on your bank.

Whilst we can’t promise more we would work hard to try find a way to subsidise rent in the early stages of reopening whilst the landlord is currently offering substantive marketing support as well.

What do you need to join us?? Just $65,000.00 plus legal fees and $1000.00 per week in vendor financing for two years. You will also need working capital and a desire to work and build hard to get sales back to where they were in the 20,000 to 25,000 dollars per week range when we launched in June last year.
