Article Organic and Fairtrade coffee from the excellent Devils cup, in Patea. Small bites - Vintage, retro. Wed to Saturday 8.30am - 2pm.

Article is situated in the heart of Old Whanganui, in the original Chronicle paper building. We endeavor to facilitate a sales spot for the multitudes of talented local artists, creators and crafters. However, article also sells good coffee, cool stuff, inclusive of vintage clothes and unique old products. We do this in a relaxed environment where the art is and can be purchasable but can also act as an excellent aesthetic backdrop to just having a coffee and appreciating the buildings character, or the character sitting across from you. We also have a range of Ross Mitchell-Anyon pottery in the RMA store out back!

On the wall : Shelby Sears - this beautiful intricate work is up for a wee while longer and we’ve already sold some to her avid fans. It’s been such a pleasure working with Shelby, she’s a real gem. Two more walls before we end our Article year… booking for the new year and as usual, I’ll help install and sell commission free. 🙏

Hey Darls - we’ve bedded in our new bakers and hit our stride now, so I thought I’d highlight a few of our favs.

Sammie’s by big.moose.whanganui, using the finest ingredients and local bread - a true favourite - pre cut and a perfect takeaway lunch or shareable snack.

Pies and sausage Rolls from Thursday onwards - homemade incredible pastry by Jenna Steedman - perfect for a cold winters day..

My favourite (and the families) sweet treat - chewy, gooey cookie pie. Ask for it Slightly warmed to unlock its final form.

It’s important it’s level. Here’s Xan holding the NZ made vintage level, as we install the new trinket shelf in Article. Bursting with entrepreneurial energy and an eye for pre-loved, wonderful toys and trinkets - this little shelf is a bring-one, take-one trinket swap for the excitable little ones in our life. Please feel free to share (IRL) and encourage yours to join the fun. Thank you and x
