At just 20 years old, Gisborne fisherlady Elly Lincoln has made history as the FIRST female winner of the 2026 Sunderland Marine Young Fisher of the Year Award.

Elly is currently working towards her Skipper's Ticket with Pegasus II Fishing. Elly has been recognised for her hard work, leadership, commitment to safety, sustainability, and passion for the future of the fishing industry.

🚤 Fresh unload rolling in with FV Rose Croix this morning 🔥🐟

New boat to Whakatane, and pretty sure it’s got one of the youngest skippers out there too running the show! 👏

Absolute weapon on the water and awesome to see the younger crew out there working hard and bringing home the fresh fish for everyone ⚓️

Nothing beats watching the boats roll in and unloading. This is where the good stuff starts… straight off the boat and onto the wharf 🙌
