I’m sorry to disappoint you, but although I can see you’re quite quick to defend certain people, you clearly don’t know the full story.

I don’t feel I have anything left to prove at this point. The facts, the records and the messages from that time all exist.

Unfortunately, when people present themselves in certain ways it can be difficult for others to believe that manipulation and dishonest behaviour can happen behind the scenes. But it does.

What happened affected not only my business but also my children and my family.

My intention has never been to attack anyone, but simply to make sure the community is aware of the facts and can decide for themselves who they support and where they choose to spend their money.

I’m aware of the anonymous post circulating about me and the group I created.

What people should understand is that the narrative being pushed there is heavily manipulated. That is exactly why the “Ohope & Whakatane Notice” group was created in the first place — because I had been removed from other local pages after pressure and threats were made to administrators to silence my posts.

Everything that has been shared regarding the former Double Zero restaurant situation is documented. The information published is based on evidence and records that were already formally reported.

Creating a space where information can be shared and discussed openly is not defamation. It is transparency.

Anonymous posts attempting to distort events or discredit people do not change the facts. The community can see for themselves what happened.

People here know the history, the relationships involved, and what took place around that restaurant.
