✨ We Officially SOLD our Coffee Lounge ✨
Today marks 1 month since we handed over the keys to our coffee lounge, so it feels like the right time to finally make it official. 🤎
If you’ve been into the shop lately, you’ve probably already met Tete & Wendy — the new faces behind the counter and owners of the newly established Bean Around Kawhe & Kai
While their business is new, they certainly aren’t new to hospitality. Between them they have over 40 years of experience, and many of you will remember them from Moxie’s Cafe — Tete for his amazing barista skills and Wendy for her delicious cooking and baking. ☕️🤤
And because we KNOW there’s one question a lot of you have been asking…
WHAT ABOUT THE PĀUA PIES?! 🥧😂
Good news — they will be back!
Our Pāua Pies have become such a special part of All The Sands, and that’s not changing. 🤎 The recipe will remain ours, but I’ll be sharing our closely guarded original All The Sands Pāua Pie recipe with Tete & Wendy so they can continue making and selling our much-loved pies from the lounge.
Because yessss, I did that 🙌🤣
They’re not back just yet, but once they’ve perfected them, Bean Around will let you know when you can get your hands on an All The Sands Pāua Pie again! 👀🥧
And who knows where else they might pop up in the future… 😉
The last five years have been an incredible journey. Handing the lounge over to Tete & Wendy gives them the opportunity to begin their own dream, while giving us the space to focus on what’s next for All The Sands… and we can’t wait to show you. 👀
In the meantime, our OG coffee cart — where it all started — by Stewart Motors near the hospital isn’t going anywhere! ☕️
And of course, our girl Jada isn’t going anywhere either. 🤎 She’s been such a huge part of All The Sands from the beginning, and she’ll now be taking the reins of our coffee cart — with a few exciting plans of our own still to come. 👀✨
To everyone who supported our lounge over the years — thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. 🤎 Somewhere along the way, so many of our customers became friends and whānau, and that will always be the most special part of what we created. We’ll forever cherish the connections, laughs, stories and people this little lounge brought into our lives — and we know so many of you will still be right there supporting us in whatever comes next. 🥹🤎
And to Tete & Wendy — congratulations on finally taking that leap and going out on your own. 🤎 After so many years in the industry, you absolutely deserve this opportunity, and we’re excited to watch Bean Around Kawhe & Kai grow as you make the space your own.
