Kia ora whanau!

Omg, has it been that long since we last messaged you all? Far out.. what’s been happening?

Just over a week and it’s Xmas, I did consider doing some kai beforehand but I think we’ll leave it now until the new year. I’ve been humming and harring. No excuses really, just been laxing back with my fams and doing this and that.

So.. any ideas on what you’d like us to bring back in the new year? Yes we’ll be back at the markets (hopefully if we can a spot).

Also, thinking of changing my business name because I want to branch out and do different kai without being restricted with Cobs (Aue, should’ve thought about that aye whanau)!

Anyway, you guys may have some suggestions on a new name also 😀

Kia ora whanau!

Oh my gosh what’s been happening?

Well.. it’s a bit of a long story and one I don’t want to bore you with but rest assured, we’re still about, we’re just finding our feet is all 😊

As you know, earlier in the year we were faced with some whanau worries with hubbies open heart surgery, then another little set back in terms of his health, which then fell into the winter months that had us making decisions on whether to cart all our gear down to the markets and operate from there rain hail or snow!

I couldn’t think of anything worse tryna keep our kai hot, work in rainy conditions etc so, I made the decision to not muck around and just stop until I was 100% ready to commit again.

I am currently working towards a food trailer, on top of some home renovations that is taking top priority at the moment but I wanted to let you all know that I haven’t forgotten about you nor have I given up 😊 I’m just busy doing other stuff at the moment whanau.

So.. keep warm, stay safe and we’ll be in touch soon ❤️

Sorry, we’re not at the markets today.. Hubby is back in hospital (he’s fine), but with one man down it’s a bit difficult ☺️

Morena whanau,

We just wanted to thank everyone for your support at the Whakatane markets on Sunday.

Oh my days, we got caught out with so many orders and so, if you had to wait, we are truly sorry. With a bit of a change to the menu, our timing was slightly out 😫

So we hope with a little tweaking, we can improve on the speed factor.

I was a bit disappointed in my mussel fritters, my pans weren’t adding up! So, this dish is definitely something I want to perfect for the future.

Thank you whanau for your patience and continued support, it’s so awesome to be back 😊

Hope to see you this Sunday, same place, at approximately 8.30am.

One more week and we’ll be back at the Sunday markets 😀

Been having some fun trialling different things including mussel fritters and burgers.

We’ve also decided to try fried bread with all our flavours so, let’s see how it goes whanau 🥰

Morena whanau,

Gosh, we've missed you guys!

It's been a while since we've communicated out and so, we thought you all deserved an update on what's been happening.

My hubby recently had open heart surgery (planned) which meant that we had to put all mahi on hold whilst he recovers. The recovery timeframe is approximately 3 months and so, we are almost one month in, and things are going really good for him.

He still has a little way to go, but while he's recovering, I can start making plans to get back into the swing of things, so whanau, we haven't forgotten about you, we're simply taking whanau time :)

I miss every aspect of running my small business and so, I truly look forward to coming back with a bang! We have new ideas!

I hope you've all kept well and safe and look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Kia ora whanau,

Prior to today, we were planning the next few months to work at the Whakatane markets however, due to whanau commitments, we’ve decided to cease mahi until the beginning of March.

It’s not what we wanted but it’s imperative that we focus on the now 🥰

Today was a really nice way to start the year off, focusing on our seafood boils and paua cobs.

We want to thank the whanau who pre ordered and hope that you enjoyed your kai.

Let’s start off with a bang in March and get the ball rolling again!
