Flooding - New Update
Following Monday’s flooding, our insurer has now completed a more detailed assessment of the damage and things are unfortunately much worse than originally thought. Parla will remain closed for an unknown period of time while further assessments and subsequent repairs are completed.
Firstly, thank you. The messages, comments and support over the past few days have been genuinely overwhelming. We have seen the very best in people and we are incredibly grateful.
We are fortunate to have strong insurance in place, which will support both the restoration of Parla and importantly allow us to continue supporting our team through this period.
With the closure, we are taking a cautious approach and cancelling all bookings up until 1 July 2026. Those with bookings will be contacted individually over the next two days.
We would absolutely love to welcome you to one of our other venues - Mr Go’s, Ombra, or Kisa in the meantime. You can also support us by purchasing a Mosaic Venues voucher online. These come with a 36-month expiry.
Separately, Mosaic back in January purchased Wellington Sourdough bakery. Over the coming weeks on Saturdays and Sundays, we will be offering Parla’s specialty coffee range, along with a small, considered selection of Parla-inspired treats at the Wellington Sourdough retail shop - Left Bank Lane, 175 Victoria Street, Te Aro (Behind Little Penang). Please stayed tuned for further updates here.
Finally, please also support your local Wellington business. This storm caught everyone by surprise, and we’re all still coming to terms with what was a very major event. Many of our friends and fellow businesses in Island Bay, Berhampore, Newtown and Brooklyn and have been impacted and would love for your custom if you’re in a position to support.
