We at Sri Penang have had to make an incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of Sri Penang at the end of August.

Due to personal and family matters, we will be moving out of Wellington city to Naveen’s suburb of Levin. For the past half year, Naveen had had to commute daily from Levin to the city and the daily commute has taken a toll not just on him and his family but the business as well.

However, good news is that Levin will be the next home for Sri Penang so we will be bringing the best of Malaysian cuisine outside of the city soon! Though it had been a short but most memorable couple of years, we are excited to be part of the community in Levin.

Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors, shared a meal with family and friends, and made Sri Penang part of your
Kai gathering place!

Your support has been incredible and has meant more to us than words can express.

While it’s goodbye to our Wellington home for now, it’s Hello to Levin , so watch this space!
But you never know, we might come creeping back to the coolest capital city again one day!

We’ll remain open until the end of August, so if you’ve been meaning to stop by for one last shot at your favourite dish or just simply to say goodbye and a hug, we’d love to see you.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our little family business. It has been an honour to serve Wellington.

Naveen and the Sri Penang team ❤️
