* Important Notice for Christmas *

Christmas holiday is around the corner and for Floyd’s Cafe, we will be closing up for 3 days this weekend. From the 25th to the 27th we will be closed and will be re-opening on the 28th.

Thank you to all the regular customers and newcomers this year, it has definitely been a rocky year for everybody having to incorporate new daily habits with the vaccine pass and covid tracer scanning everywhere they go, but we are thankful to everybody who are very accepting and are casually cruising along with us, it makes our working lives and everybody’s lives that much easier and we are definitely grateful for that. Here’s hoping 2022 brings about positive changes and a good new year.

* Important Notice *

As we all know it, New Zealand is moving into the new Traffic Light System, and for us Floyd’s Cafe is also going to be apart of the new system, which means everyone will be getting used to the vaccine pass scanning and Covid tracing every time anybody enters.

We just want to make a reminder to everybody that we are all in the same boat here and be respectful to our staff who are just following the guidelines given.

Remember to:
- Scan the Covid tracer QR code or manually sign in at the front
-Have your Vaccine pass ready to show staff
-Always make sure to be wearing a mask when talking or walking around

We understand there are somethings that are unclear in the rule book and we will be trying our best to comply and make sure your comfortable in our cafe.

Hello Everybody!

Thank you to everybody who visited us during Level 3 Lockdown, it was absolutely awesome seeing all your familiar faces, coming down to grab the "go-go juice" everyday. It was definitely amazing seeing your reactions after taking a sip and snacking on the sweets after a 2 week disappearance, it was like magic✨. But we have even more good news! 😊👍

We will be opening like normal, seatings in the cafe just like how it used to be with some slight changes which will comply with the health and safety rules of Lockdown Level 2.

So our schedule won't change it'll be:
Open and Close Times:
Monday to Saturday: 🕢 7:30 am to 🕟 4:30 pm
Sunday 🕖 8:00 am to 🕟 4:30 pm

Now there will be rules that must be followed, and our staff members will try their best to remind you that you must scan the QR Code or Signing in with pen and paper after entering the cafe. This will definitely help with identifying and tracking down any potential cases, remember the Delta varient is still on the loose so we must remain ⚠️Vigilant⚠️ during Level 2.
Constantly clean your hands with the hand sanitizer spread out around the cafe and be mindful of others.

⚠️We have some Temporary Inconveniences for tomorrow's opening day for Level 3 Lockdown.⚠️

We currently don't have any sort of mobile ethpos machine set up which is very much needed for contactless payments, therefore we will have to ☕ open Floyd's Cafe at 10am ☕ as we set up the mobile ethpos machine. But it is only for tomorrow and we will operate at 8am onwards. We apologies for any inconveniences and confusion this may cause.

There may be some delays during the time the ethpos machine is getting set up. So we please ask for your understanding and patience during the process. Thank you and we'll hopefully see you tomorrow 😁👍

We got exciting news for everybody in Island Bay!! 😁😁

Floyd's Cafe has decided to open during level 3 lockdown starting from September 1st Wednesday onwards, opening from 8am to 3pm. Only door sales during the duration of level 3 lockdown just like last year.

Currently available for takeaway
-Hot drinks eg Coffee and Hot Chocolates☕☕
-Small sweets that are shown on display such as breakfast loafs, butterscotch slices, apple slices and more. 🍰🍰
-Hot foods with pies and sausage rolls. 🥧🥧

-We will be having our tables set up as a barrier infront of the cafe door to maintain physical distancing, and hand sanitizers ready for everybody. Also everybody must at least have a mask on or something to cover your mouth with when interacting. Contactless payment is preferred over cash. But if you got only cash, we can give you change. Hand sanitation is a must for dealing with cash.

TL:DR: Starting from Wednesday Sept 1st
-Opening: 8am
-Closing: 3pm
-Opening everyday. Small easy takeaway food and drinks like coffee and finger foods will be sold shown at the front display.

🎉! 2021! 🎉

We hope everybody had a good new year and a good holiday.

With the first two week of 2021 passed and summer officially here (sort of), there's no better to spend it but to have one of our homemade pies. To make this even better, you can buy a pie along with a Coke range for a deal. 😉 So come on down and try out one of our pies at 130a Parade Rd in Island Bay. We hope to see you soon. 😊

Hello to all of Floyd's regulars and newcomers, we hope everybody is having a great weekend. We want to say that we will be opening for the rest of week EXCEPT for Christmas day on the 25th of December, thats the only day we will be closing. So we will still be serving your favorite coffees and meals during the week.

We will keep you updated whenever there is any changes to the cafe's hours.
So everybody, stay safe and Merry Christmas to everyone. 😊

Attention please to all of Floyd's customers and newcomers. Starting on the 6th of July, we will not be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for the duration of July, and also the first Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of August. So we sincerely apologise for any inconveniences and confusion caused.

Thursdays onwards to Sundays will operate at normal times from 7:30ish to 4:30ish so we can still serve your favorite coffees and meals.

So TL:DR: From the 6th of July, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will not be open and that also includes the first Mon, Tues and Wed of August.

After all this, our times will revert back to normal of 7:30ish to 4:30ish every single day.
