Pani puri (literally translating to "water bread") is a beloved Indian street food. It consists of a small, crispy, hollow, fried dough ball (puri) filled with a savory mixture of boiled potatoes, finely choped onion and then stuffed with tangy, spicy and sweet flavored water (pani).

Pani puri is a finger food designed to be eaten in one single bite to prevent the flavored water from spilling and to experience an explosion of textures and flavors in your mouth.
