Meet MARITES — the burger inspired by the Filipino art of word of mouth.

Because long before influencers and algorithms, Filipinos have always trusted recommendations from family, friends, neighbours, and that one person who always knows what’s happening. 😉

The gossip worth spreading:

🥩 Smashed Beef Tapa Patty
💜 Ube Cream Cheese
🍋 Calamansi Honey Aioli
🌿 Rocket
🍶 Sinamak Balsamic Reduction
🥯 Arobake Brioche Bun

Served with:

🍜 Fried Garlic Rice Noodles
🌽 Buttered Cheesy Corn

A proudly Filipino burger that celebrates the conversations, stories, and recommendations that bring people together.

So if someone asks,

“What’s the latest?”

You know what to tell them. 🍔👀🇵🇭

🎨🇵🇭 SINAG 2026: Filipino Art in Aotearoa 🇳🇿

Art has always been one of the purest ways we tell our stories.

From our roots, traditions, struggles, dreams, and identity as Filipinos living far from home, these talented artists have turned their experiences into works that deserve to be seen, celebrated, and shared.

Join us in supporting the incredible Filipino artists featured in SINAG 2026:
✨ JM Beltran
✨ Alan Raga
✨ Ariel Reyes
✨ JC Pineda
✨ ER Hapal
✨ Chinee Swanson
✨ Al Legaspi
✨ and many more talented Filipino creatives showcasing their work and passion.

This exhibition is more than art on a wall, it is a celebration of Filipino creativity, culture, and the stories that connect us across oceans.

Let’s show up, support local Filipino artists, bring our friends and whānau, and help shine a light on the growing Filipino creative community here in Aotearoa.

📍 Hutt Art Centre
📅 10–21 June 2026

Because when we support our artists, we preserve our stories, celebrate our culture, and inspire the next generation to create.

Mabuhay ang sining. Mabuhay ang husay ng Pilipino. 🇵🇭🎨✨

Lunch is calling. 🍗🔥

Our Chicken Bacolod Inasal is here to make your midday break a little brighter.

Chargrilled, juicy, and packed with the smoky, citrusy flavours Bacolod is famous for — served with garlic rice and our signature kansi gravy. Familiar comfort. Filipino soul.

Because lunch shouldn’t just fill you up.It should give you something to look forward to.

See you at Lazy Juan. 🇵🇭☀️

3 years. 3 burgers. One mission. 🇵🇭🍔

Before tomorrow’s reveal, we’re taking a look back at the journey.

2023 — Chori Na, I Love You ❤️
A love letter to Filipino flavours with chorizo, banana catsup, pickled slaw, and fried green mango.

2024 — Asim Kilig Bistek Tagalog 💛
The familiar kilig of bistek, calamansi, onions, and cheese, reimagined between two buns.

2025 — Sisig La, Lambing Bago Loving 🔥
A bold celebration of sisig, smashed beef, chicharrón, and all the beautiful chaos that makes Filipino food unforgettable.

Every year, our goal has never been just to make a burger.

It’s been about telling Filipino stories through food.
Introducing our flavours to Wellington.
Creating conversations.
Changing perceptions.
Showing that Filipino food deserves a seat at every table.

From “What’s sisig?” to “When can I get another one?” every burger has helped move the conversation forward.

And now, as Wellington On a Plate 2026 embraces the theme Word of Mouth, we couldn’t think of a theme that feels more Filipino.

Because the best Filipino food has always travelled through stories, recommendations, family gatherings, and one simple question:

“Mars, anong latest?”

Tomorrow, we reveal the next chapter.

Get ready for something worth talking about. 👀🍔🇵🇭

Mondays are hard.

Deadlines. Emails. Traffic. Life.

Good thing there’s Roast Beef Pares.

Slow-roasted beef, rich savoury glaze, and a comforting plate of rice—because some days call for food that feels like a reward for simply showing up.

You can’t control Monday, but you can control what’s for lunch.

Treat yourself. You’ve earned it.
