Waitomo’s newest attraction, the Waitomo Homestead, is a stop not to be missed on your journey to or from the caves. Serving a range of delicious food and beverages in a beautifully refurbished restaurant, the Waitomo Homestead is the perfect place to host a large event. Located on State Highway 3, just prior to the Waitomo turn off, this recently refurbished restaurant offers both open air and in

door dining options. The restaurant caters for small to large groups with onsite catering available for up to 700 people with both canapés and sit down meal options. The expansive deck is the perfect place to enjoy this beautiful rural setting and garden view. As well as a high quality food and beverage option, Waitomo Homestead serves as a welcoming gateway to the Waitomo area. The perfect place for guests to relax before or after their Waitomo experience.

Join us for the Waitomo Trail Run Prize giving!

The Waitomo Trail Run Prize giving will be at the Waitomo Homestead (584 SH3) from 5pm.

Bar and café will be open all day.
Free face painting from 2pm – 5pm.
The spectacular Wai Taiko drummers will perform from 4.30pm.

Lots of spot prizes up for grabs, including an Apple Watch proudly sponsored by Spark, plus a weekend away for two including ensuite accommodation at the Homestead, Waitomo Glowworm Caves tickets, and Ruakuri Cave tickets.

Conditions on the courses may be wet and slippery and there may be potential course changes but they’re just as awesome as the original route. Original transport options remain the same so just show up as normal and any changes will be communicated to you on the day by marshals and race director.
