A handful of my customers have officially chosen their preferred bake day AND favourite flavour, meaning they now have a regular spot in my weekly baking schedule. 🍞🩷

But I want to take a moment to recognise these customers for something a little bigger than just becoming regulars.

These legends will often check in ahead of their bake to make sure their order is underway, let me know if they need to make a change, and even message to postpone their bake when they realise they've got a little sourdough stockpile building up in the freezer. 😂🍞

And honestly?

THIS is the kind of support that makes a small home business sustainable. 🥹🤎

They've been incredibly supportive, organised and understanding of the fact that behind Baked by Quartz is one person juggling baking, home, kids, family, relationships and everyday life.

🤎 A Little Note From Behind The Bake

As Baked by Quartz continues to grow, I just want to take a moment to explain a few things that help me keep everything running smoothly. 🍞

I’m still a small, home-based business, and behind every loaf is one person trying to balance baking, orders, deliveries, home, kids, work, relationships and all the other things that come with everyday life. 😅

I absolutely love what I’m building, but I also need to make sure I’m not letting the business completely take over my personal life.

So, moving forward, I’m asking for a little help from my customers:

✨ Please use the online order form for your orders.
This helps me keep everything in one place and makes sure I don't miss anything.

✨ Please get your orders in early.
Each bake day has limited capacity, and getting orders in well before the bake gives me the time I need to plan ingredients, dough quantities and my schedule.

✨ Please respond to my messages.
When I’m confirming your bake, organising payment or arranging your delivery time and location, I need those responses so I can actually complete your order and keep everything moving.

✨ Please keep business communication in the business space.
If you know me personally and support Baked by Quartz as a customer, I love you for both, but I’m currently working really hard to create a clear separation between my personal life and my business.

Mixing the two has started creating more stress and hassle than I’d like, so I’m putting some boundaries in place to protect both. 🤎

This isn't me becoming less approachable, it’s me learning how to run a business without allowing it to consume my life.

I’m incredibly grateful for every order, every recommendation, every review and every person who chooses to support this little business. 🥹🍞

Your support helps Baked by Quartz grow, but having clear systems and boundaries helps me keep doing it sustainably.

We are gratefully receiving beautiful home made sourdough every week from Baked By Quartz .

A lovely local lady humbly supporting us!

We slice it up and serve it with a hot meal for our rough sleeper whanau. It went down a treat on Friday with some yummy sausage curry that was donated from a catering gig.
