In one powerful sentence, leading AI scientists and global thinkers warned: “Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war.” The message is not that AI is our enemy, but that powerful technology demands equally powerful responsibility. Humanity has learned to cooperate against nuclear threats and global disease. AI deserves the same seriousness—international cooperation, sensible safeguards, transparency and human oversight—before capability advances faster than our ability to control its consequences.

What if staying in New Zealand actually put more money in your pocket?

National has announced a new pitch to young graduates: stay in New Zealand, work hard — and keep a little more of what you earn.

If re-elected, National says it will cut compulsory student-loan repayments from 12% to 10%.

Three things I keep telling my children over and over again!

Nobody owes you anything—be grateful and learn to stand on your own.

Use pain as fuel. Today’s discipline creates tomorrow’s opportunities.

Most importantly, become useful. Learn, build and solve problems.

Be grateful. Work for what you want. Create value. Then help others rise.

When machines create the wealth, who owns the machines—and who shares the wealth?

— The future may change the price of everything, but it won’t eliminate the question of value.

My dream car isn’t just about owning something beautiful.

For me, an EV represents where transport is heading—quieter roads, smarter technology, less reliance on petrol and, potentially, lower running costs.

But here’s the funny part: buying an EV is easy. Finding a fast charger exactly when and where you need one can still feel like a treasure hunt. 😂

If New Zealand wants more people to confidently choose electric, the next big investment shouldn’t only be EVs. We need more reliable, faster charging stations on highways, in small towns and rural communities—not just the major cities.

My dream isn’t simply to drive an EV.

It’s to see a New Zealand where you can drive one almost anywhere without first asking:

“Mate… where’s the next charger?” 🔌🇳🇿

That’s when electric transport really becomes everyday transport.

Don’t just build the cars of the future. Build the infrastructure that lets them go somewhere.
