Our August nominations are now closed, and we’re beginning the important job of carefully going through the stories that have been shared with us.

This month, we’re doing things a little differently.

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵.

Along with the new nominations received during August, we’re also carrying forward the incredible eligible nominations and stories shared on our original July Local Hero post.

That means our next Local Hero will be chosen from a much bigger pool of people who have been recognised by our community for the difference they make in Wairoa. 💛

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀.

We’ll now take some time to consider them carefully, organise our winner surprise and interview, and prepare their story so we can honour them properly.

When we launched Wairoa’s Local Hero for the first time, you shared some incredible nominations and stories with us.

And it got us thinking...
