🌿 We're looking forward to a busy sunny Sunday tomorrow with the Wairau Valley Market here during the afternoon! The garden has been freshly watered so it'll be looking it's best 🤣

🌞 We'll be open 10am - 6pm with the market running from midday until 3pm 🛍️ There will be pies, baking, toasted sandwiches and more on our lunch menu 🍔

🥞 Our family market stall will have Lucie selling her fresh lemonade, iced tea and crepes, and Moya selling walnuts and berry plants that - ivory raspberries, strawberries and blackcurrants. As well as as mum's sourdough 😍

🌱 Spring is well and truly here and things are ramping up at the tavern! We have lots of projects on the go and we're looking forward to the Wairau Valley Market on here in only one week! 📋

🇮🇹 Tonight is September Quiz Night + Buffet Dinner with an Italian themed buffet - lasagne, Meaters of Marlborough Ltd sausages, tasty sides and chocolate mousse for dessert 🍫 We have space for another team or two, get in touch to book ☺️

🥧 We open today from 10am for morning tea and the kitchen runs for lunch from 11.30 - 2.30pm 🍔

🥖 Fresh sourdough will be available this afternoon, it's been a bit slow to rise today 🤷 ❄️

🥖 Fresh sourdough available today and at Meaters of Marlborough Ltd !

🥧 Today's savouries in the warmer are steak & cheese, steak cheese & jalapeño, bacon & egg, and beef sausage rolls

🥕 On the bar - carrot muffins with cream cheese icing, chocolate chips cookies cheese & onion scones and slice selection 🍪

🍔 Lunch and dinner at on as usual today, with corned beef toasties in addition to our normal menu. Fresh seeded sourdough with Meaters corned beef, the ideal pairing 🥪

🍕 We had a great pizza session last night, still fine tuning our process but it's definitely heading in the right direction! Aiming to do this every Friday night for the time being & more as we head into Summer 😎

🐷 Pizza oven is now loaded up with slow roasting beef and pork for Father's Day Roast Lunch Buffet tomorrow, it sure is earning it's keep! Open 10am - 6pm Sunday 6th 🍻

🍖 Sunday is Father's Day Roast Lunch Buffet from midday to 3pm, open from 10am for morning tea and coffee and until 6pm for Sunday avo drinks 🍻

🍞 It's been a bit of a doughy week here! Possibly a new record for us for both type and quantity 🤣 We've had heaps of bread sales and been playing around with making Cornish Pasties 🥟

⛄ Rainbow Ski Area is closed for the weekend which means TONIGHT is pizza night instead of Sunday 🍕

🍅 Margarita - tomato and pesto (for lack of fresh basil!)
🍍 Hawaiian - ham and pineapple
🥓 Carni - Salami, ham, mild chorizo and red onion (optional BBQ sauce)
🌶️ Pepperoni - spicy salami, chorizo and jalapeños
🫒 Capri - capricciosa with olives, artichokes, spinach, mushrooms, red onion and optional ham

⛄ Fingers crossed for a bit more snow this season although it's not looking great. So this might be our last Sunday evening for a bit until we get into our Summer hours from probably November 🌞
