Today’s sold out Pasta Masterclass was a great success with participants raving about how much they enjoyed their day. They were filled with inspiration and good food thanks to Brad sharing his passion for making food from scratch followed by a delicious shared lunch featuring our housemade lasagne. .
For the weekend ahead, our Bistro is open from 11.30 - late and our NEW incredible veggie platter is on the menu PLUS the coconut and lime Margherita is back! Take the time to connect with friends and family this weekend and head up for great food and good vibes ❤️

After all that rain last night, it’s been a beautiful day here! We had the pleasure of hosting our long awaited Salads & Dressings workshop today and it truly felt like Spring as we made our way around the veggie gardens tasting and harvesting our salad leaves and herbs !
Throughout Saturday and Sunday our Bistro is open serving delicious food made from scratch including a new vegetarian / vegan platter ( sorry haven’t grabbed a photo yet but watch this space). It’s also the last weekend for our delicious Mulled W**e so be sure to find the time to connect with friends and family and pop up for a drink or bite to eat. Open 11.30 - late ❤️

Pasta Masterclass- Friday 25th September 2026
Join us for this fun and interactive workshop where Brad will teach you the fundamentals of making your own Pasta from Scratch. He will demonstrate and explain the kneading and resting process, show you how to create different types of pasta and cover the different types of tools and equipment required to roll your dough and create your very own pasta. Taste the difference and you will never want to go back to the packet version!

As many of you know this year we celebrated 15 years in business which has meant we have been reflecting on the years gone by, the events, the menus and dishes but more importantly the people we have encountered . Staff, suppliers, tradies, schools, organisations, guests coming through our doors - equating to 15 years of connecting with people from all walks of life which has gifted us a back catalogue of incredible storys to tell . Each individual person has shaped our identity and contributed to the community we have created here at The Falls Retreat. Over the next little while I’ll be sharing some of these people and their stories and reminding us all that hospitality is so much more than what’s on a plate ❤️

Managed to escape for a one night getaway just down the road and brought along my latest copy of nourish magazine. Have you got yours yet? Reading inside I realised This incredible FREE magazine has been going for around the same time as us! It’s packed with incredible recipes and foodie articles including one featuring ideas for using Sorrel. Super helpful for anyone coming on our organic gardening workshop next week ( a few spaces are still available!) as it’s one of our kitchen garden staples! Happy Father”s Day! It’s been a real family affair today with Leroy and his daughter Alize working together in the kitchen and our Molly in prime position at the pass, expediting food and w**e matches alongside Brad ❤️ Big thank you to these legends for giving up their day to be here helping creating memories for other Dads and their whanau . Happy Fathers’s Day!
