It's our 20th Birthday!

Come and help us celebrate this milestone at our market on Sunday 22nd March in The Barn at Claudelands.

We will have Birthday Cake*, a display of old market photos and lots of reminiscing!

There has been some loyal market customers and stallholders that have attended for the entire 20 years and at all locations.
We think this is something that needs to be celebrated with our local community.

Our Hamilton Farmers' Market was established in March 2006 with 15 original stallholders. It began as a fortnightly event in the Wintec car park on Collingwood Street before evolving into a weekly Sunday staple.

Before settling at our current permanent home, our market transitioned through several key sites across Hamilton:
• Wintec Car Park (2006):
The inaugural site on Collingwood Street where the market first launched.
• Sonning Car Park (2008):
A larger and more sheltered location on River Road that accommodated the market's early growth.
• Te Rapa Racecourse:
A temporary home used before the market moved to its current indoor facility. This was November 2014 to August 2016.
• The Barn, Claudelands (August 2016–Present day):
The market secured its current permanent location in a refurbished rustic horse barn at the Claudelands Event Centre to provide year-round shelter. This is now known as 'The Barn'.
