Howdy 👋, we will be open as usual across the Easter weekend.
We are not taking Hot Cross Bun orders this year.
We will have them available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
We will be baking as many as we can for Sunday.
We also won’t have a surcharge on Friday.

This year we have our Christmas box and are taking orders for Croissants and other products.
We are just finalising individual banoffee pies as well.

Collection is for Wednesday 24th December and cut off is Monday 22nd December, payments are to be made on collection. 🙏

Hey 👋🏼!!! It’s been a minute. But I wanted to do some social media so here we are!!!

This is our white chocolate and sprinkle cookie 🍪 and it is “free from gluten (FFG)”!!
Caressa fell in love with a version of this cookie in Ireland last year , back when a slice of pan (bread) wouldn’t leave her skin melting off.

In a nutshell it’s a NY style cookie, sprinkles and callebaut white chocolate

We make our own FFG (Free From Gluten Flour), however if you are a coeliac or highly allergic it’s most likely not suitable for you. While we do take precautions, I won’t/ can’t say that they’re gluten free.

My favourite thing about them is you can eat three and not feel full. And that is experience talking.

Hey Guys, Hot Cross Bun and Easter Hours update, and then an explanation and apology, up to you how far you read.

We will have Hot Cross Buns, this weekend (Saturday and Sunday), they are limited so first in first served. and next weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), they to will be on limited amounts so first in first served.

We will be open as normal next weekend with no surcharge.
We won’t be open on Monday as we’re never open on a Monday.

Our Hot Cross Buns dilemma:

So after trying to find away to schedule them into our daily bake and routine , we just kept coming to the same problem we no longer have the fridge space to accomodate them.

The recipe we’ve developed and tweaked the past years is made over two days and includes our Sourdough Starter (Prof. J) aswell as a smidge of Yeast, Vanilla, Cardamon, French Earl Grey and Orange.
I feel that the ones we have baked so far this year have been subpar and lacking the depth we get from a bulk ferment.

Without the fridge space for a cool bulk ferment, or a cool enough area that lets them get the treatment they deserve. We can’t produce a bun I’m proud to serve.

I guess in short I don’t want to sell an average Hot Cross Bun for the sake of selling Hot Cross Buns, so for that I’m sorry.

I’m also sorry that I haven’t responded to all your messages for Hot Cross Buns, I let the anxiety build up, maybe I should have posted this early but I guess the fear of not performing gripped me a little to hard, so I’m sorry. Hopefully next year we can find a solution to accomodate them, like a bigger space….

Hey Guys, after a short hiatus Anna’s back with her first Sourdough Workshop of the year next Saturday.

Are you ready to impress the family with fresh sourdough this Easter why buy it when you can make it. Like the saying goes give a man a fish, and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.

Also as I’m late posting this, a few spaces have been snapped up so don’t hesitate.

Hey, 👋🏼 Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone that’s come through our doors this year, and supported our small business. You have no idea how much gratitude we have for you’ll coming through. Defiantly been the toughest year yet.

To the Staff for the effort over the past year especially the last few months as we have welcomed Arlo earth side, the extra shifts and long hours and sending me home to get some sleep. Appreciate it, thank you’ll so much for helping us on this journey

It’s been a surreal experience to this point, we have some had some real highs and real lows and we’re taking a bit extra time off this year to relax and spend time with family.

Wishing everyone a happy holiday season and a Merry Christmas.
