Business Opportunity in Turangi!
Raw Balance is now closed, however it would be so amazing to see healthy delicious salads and hot dishes still on offer in Turangi. Our smoothies, just and Magic Hot Drink were very popular and quite unique. Who else does Medicinal Mushroom drinks in the area?

The space is now available. To set up something similar to what we did, will cost you roughly $25K, that will include buying chattels off us, remaining stock, topping up stock, signage, insurance, council registration, etc.

We are not selling the business, you will need to register your own business and name, but I am offering free training to the right person, if you want to continue making similar food to what Raw Balance offered. We have a good reputation and good following. I am happy to assist in setting it up, teach some of my recipes, especially the raw cakes and slices. Over a period of 10 years we have really streamlined the business. Everything we made was vegan and gluten-free. A niche market, with a big following!

Letting go and allowing change
As we are now in the last couple of days of Raw Balance cafe, it is so interesting to observe people's reactions and also how their own beliefs and habits are challenged.

Firstly we have the free spirits that come into our cafe, that have let go of the "matrix" years ago and completely understand our need to step away and free up our time for whatever will unfold in the future. They don't even need to ask the obligatory "what are you going to do now".

And we've had a few customers inspired by our brave plunge into the unknown, resulting them to question their own lives and we planted a seed to instigate change in their own lives.

Then there's a large part of humanity who gets challenged by the fact that we are closing a perfectly popular business. How dare you? How can you do that? We are controlled to dedicate our lives to work, making money, getting mortgages, accumulating expensive clutter, etc.

It's an amazing opportunity right now, to find the life that will add fire to your soul. Last year was a 9, meaning endings. This year is a fantastic opportunity for new beginnings. Take the plunge!! Live a life that feeds your soul.

As I'm writing this, Eddie Vedder's Society is playing on Spotify, how apt!!! We really don't actually know what's next, we have a few plans in our heads, but to be honest, we want to stop, free up our heads and emotional clutter. Stop, rest, heal and find the new chapter in silence.

And to our dear friends, you will see more of us, not behind a counter and with aprons on.
And thank you for your beautiful support over a period of 10 years of having a cafe and we loved every minute offering healthy and nutritious meals and drinks!

As most of you may know by now, is that Raw Balance is closing the cafe at the end of this week. We have dedicated 10 years of our time to the cafe, first in Taupo and then in Turangi. We have a very good following and a very good reputation! And thank you so much for that!!

It is not really our responsibility to find a tenant for the cafe space, but saying that, we would love to see somebody take over the space and continue what we have built up. We are keeping the name Raw Balance, but if somebody is keen to continue what we are doing in Turangi, the chattels and stock is for sale to a suitable person. Turangi is on the main highway between Wellington and Auckland and we get many people travelling that will stop at Raw Balance for lunch, as we offer something different and nutritious meals. I am happy to give some of my time to the right person to train them up, teach them about the running of the business and give guidance on the recipes, especially the raw cakes and slices.

I am writing a Raw Balance recipe book, that will have all of our favourite recipes, sweet and savoury. That will be my first project once we stop working, to get the book finished and printed. That way I pass on my knowledge and you can still make your favourite Raw Balance cakes or salads or smoothies at home.

**ANNOUNCEMENT**

Big Raw Balance news.....We've just surpassed 10 years of having a Raw Balance cafe! That's the good news
But then there's more news, I don't want to call it "bad news", because it sounds negative and is a matter of perception.

The Raw Balance cafe in Turangi is CLOSING in January. The exact date is the 10th of January.(10/1/2026 =111 and 11/1/2026 = 1111, for those who love to play with numbers)

We are so incredibly grateful for so many wonderful beings we've met in the last 10 years and we know we have inspired and nourished you all. Thank you so much for all the wonderful conversations and all the 5-star reviews we have received.

We have told most of our regulars personally. Two questions come up straight away: "Are you not making enough money?" and "What are you going to do now?"

Firstly, we created Raw Balance from the beginning to be a conscious business, with financial wealth not being the only wealth we focussed on. Raw Balance created so much wealth on so many levels and made us rich in so many ways. Our shop is very popular and we have a good flow of regulars and new customers every day.

Second question regarding what we are going to do. Who knows! You need to close a door before a new door can open. We will stop and rest and repair our souls first and then open ourselves to so many new opportunities. See our friends more (outside work environment), play more gigs, travel the country more and not be bound by a cafe.

I am also in the final stages of writing a Raw Balance recipe book, so we will leave our legacy for you all to be able to enjoy. 2026 is going to be a year of big change and this is our big change

This cake is VERY special! I used to make this cake when Raw Balance was still in Taupo. It is a Turmeric Cheesecake, probiotic with added coconut kefir. Tastes like our Turmeric Latte, but exquisitely creamy and gourmet!! Next level! I can guarantee not like anything you've ever tasted before.
I don't often make this, so come in to get your slice while still available

I know it's cold and wet out there! We have delicious curry today at Raw Balance, Butter Jackfruit.... like Butter Chicken, but without any fowl harmed.
