❤️ ONE YEAR… WHAT A RIDE. ❤️

A year ago, we took a pretty big leap of faith and started The Ōreti Collection.

Looking back tonight, I don’t think I fully appreciated just how much that decision would bring — the challenges, the sleepless nights, the laughter, the tears, the learning… and some moments when I definitely wondered if we were completely mad! 😂

But here we are. One year on.

And I’m bloody proud. ❤️

Not just of what we’ve created, but of the people who have helped us create it.

Our little team who have stood beside me, rolled up their sleeves, believed in what we were trying to build and put their hearts into making it something special.

Our owners who trusted us with their beautiful properties. Our guests who arrived as strangers and so often left feeling like friends. Our locals, suppliers, travel partners and all those people who have quietly supported us, recommended us and cheered us on.

And then there are the people we’ve met along the way — some who have become friends and some who have left a little mark on our story.

This year has reminded me that a business isn’t really about buildings, bookings or numbers.

It’s about people.

It’s about creating something you believe in, surrounding yourself with good people and having the courage to keep going when things don’t always go to plan.

Tonight my overwhelming feeling is simply gratitude.

For the people. For the lessons. For the trust. For the opportunities. For our team. And for this ridiculously beautiful little corner of the world we get to call home.

Happy first birthday, The Ōreti Collection. 🥂❤️

We’ve come a long way in twelve months…

and I have a feeling we’re only just getting started. ✨

Unfortunately, due to a lack of bookings, we’ve made the decision to cancel this Thursday’s Ōreti Supper Club.

A big thank you to those who had booked — we really appreciate your support. ❤️

We love the Supper Club concept and trying something a little different, so we may give it another go when the timing is right!
