NRL Knights v Roosters 9:30pm kick off.
Get in early if you wanna watch the men’s final. If not much interest we’ll close up after the ladies and call it a week!

Massive congratulations to the Uawa Nasties, taking out the Tairawhiti Rugby League comp and bringing home the Dave Ahu Memorial Shield!
The Nasties coming home strong, winning it 30-28 in the last minute against The Whalers.
Huge mihi to the boys, coaches, management, sponsors and all the supporters who have followed the team this year!

Been to a Coast game this year (or you’re going today) and wondered who Taare Messines Ltd is? You might’ve seen it on your bank statement and gone huh? 😂

Well whanau he is us and we are him.
Taare Te Omanga Messines Kahaki is our Papa.

We never got to meet this great man but the stories that are shared explains our short tempers and madness❤️😂

Anyway, because of your support of The Tolaga Bay Pub over the last 7 months we were able to support our Ngāti Porou East Coast RU Official Kaupoi and Hamoterangi teams for 2026.
Some of us Kahaki’s have been lucky enough to don the Sky Blue over the years and are still represented today with his namesake Taare Te Omanga Kahaki (Charlie Girl) and a fulla you guys might know for the 50 plus games he’s played, Perrin Manuel.
His brother in development today Kahu Manuel alongside the cuzzie Bryah Kahaki.
Our past NPEC whanau playing various levels are the cuzzie Fabyan, Phillip (Jai), Aunties Terri Manuel and Leslie Whangapirita (Dinx), the cuzzie Tania Wolferstan Reedy and last but not least, our sister Regina Kahaki (water girl mainly I think).

So a massive mihi to all our patrons, our customers who come and get their weekly dose of Fish & Chips next door at The Pub Fish & Chips and our wider Uawa and East Coast Community!

Without you all we wouldn’t be able to do this…❤️

Imagine coming to The Pub on a Friday night for a b**r with the cuzzies and then you end up being roped/voluntold in to being the entertainment for the next night!
Well that’s what happened to the cuzzie Manaia last night…
After some gentle persuasion we have Manaia Toroa-Garrett playing us some tunes tonight from 6pm!
He’ll be jamming some of NZs classics whilst the bar staff are smashing out some cocktails!
Great night to be at The Pub.
