⚠️ Te Anau Power Outage

Just a heads-up for anyone heading to the Te Anau Glowworm Caves this evening — Te Anau has just had a power outage.

Power is currently expected to be back around 7:30pm, although this is not confirmed and may change.

If you’re coming into town for dinner before your Glowworm Caves trip, please allow a little extra time and keep this in mind when planning your evening.

Many travellers worry when rain is forecast for Milford Sound, but there's a reason locals often say:

"No rain, no waterfalls."

After rainfall, countless waterfalls appear along the cliffs, flowing into the fjord as mist drifts through the valleys. It's a unique side of Milford Sound that many visitors remember long after their trip.
