On Sunday night, Cousin Scott’s was incredibly honoured to win Outstanding Local Establishment North at the 2026 Lewisham Awards.
Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who voted for us and has supported us along the way. To be nominated alongside such amazing venues as Cave a Vin, Duo and Moreno Cafe was already a huge honour, so to take home this award means the world to us.
I have to give the biggest shout-out to my team, and to every single staff member who has walked through our doors since we opened in October 2024. You have all worked tirelessly to help give our community a place that is fun, different and, most of all, welcoming. You have embodied what true hospitality is, and this award is a reflection of that.
Thank you for making Cousin Scott’s what it is today.
To everyone who voted, visited, cheered us on, brought your families in, came down for a game, grabbed a burger, ordered wings, or simply told a friend about us — thank you. Cousin Scott’s would not be where we are without you. Winning this award on the back of one of the busiest weeks we have had since opening only proves that we must be doing something right.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to the Lewisham Committee and everyone involved in the awards. I have been attending the Lewishams almost religiously for the last 12 or so years, and they hold such a special place in our industry.
These awards create a space to celebrate hospitality in its truest form — not just the celebrity chefs or the owners, but the bartenders, waiters, baristas, kitchen teams, floor staff and everyone else who makes this industry what it is.
You do not need to be nominated to attend, and I genuinely cannot recommend it enough to anyone in hospitality. It is one of the best nights of the year for our industry to come together, connect, celebrate and remember why we do what we do.
Thank you again for putting on another memorable night, and even more so, thank you for helping honour Cousin Scott’s.
