This week I once again had the pleasure of shooting with the team at Flourish Café part of Project Employ

Project Employ is a New Zealand-based charity with a mission to help young people with intellectual disabilities or learning differences find and retain meaningful, paid employment within the community ✨

So always great to work with such a great cause.

Just over 2 hours getting some naturally lit, with a mix of styled and candid shots.

After four years, today was our final day at Como Street 😭

But don’t worry! Our new café is right around the corner 👀 Official announcement coming on Monday!!

Thank you to everyone who has visited our Como Street café over the past 4 years - your support has made such a difference in the lives of our neurodiverse trainees. This chapter may be closing, but a new one is just about to begin 🩵

Exciting news! Project Employ Trainees will now be splitting their time between both Flourish Cafe sites (19 Como Street, Takapuna and 185 Fanshawe Street, Auckland C*D - Air New Zealand Hub) 👏👏

This means you'll get to meet and be served by all eleven of them, and they'll have the opportunity to transfer their hospitality and employability skills to a new working environment.

Our trainees are really excited (but nervous) about this next stage so please be patient if it takes a little longer for them to take your order, just while they get used to things.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank every single Flourish Cafe customer for the encouragement given to the trainees over the past four months - without your support they wouldn't have the self-belief and courage needed to take this next big step on their journey to employment. 🫶
