Update

Looking good to open Friday 21st August 2026. As long as it does rain overnight we should be all go. Starting to get a few bare patches but still plenty of snow. Will update in the morning. Thank you Primo for the great cameras

Monday decided to turn the mountain white! 🤍🏔️

Fresh snow on the maunga, winter in the air and plenty of reasons to make a trip up the mountain.

Update

Update, 11am: Pembroke Road is now open all the way to the Plateau car park. Please take care, be patient with other travellers and HAVE FUN!

Update: Manaia Road is open with caution and Pembroke Road is open up until the Mountain Lodge. We aim to have the road open to the Plateau around 11am. Drive safely!

Update: Road is closed. Snowing down at Pembroke School. It’s SNOWING. SUNDAY 16th August 2026. We have staff going up so will keep you updated once we know what is happening. Thank you Primo for the great cameras

Update:

Open Friday 7th August 2026. Thin cover with some bare spots but plenty of snow to have a good time at a reduced cost. Come on up for an Anderson pie , escape coffee and slide in the white stuff.
